St Petersburg, FL Position Summary:
The laboratory lead phlebotomist coordinates day to day operations of pre analytical functions in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Ensures training of both laboratory and non-laboratory staff in specimen procurement techniques. Ensures specimens are collected and handled in a manner consistent with laboratory policies and ensures supplies are available for use. Functions are completed effectively and accurately assuring the department's needs are met in a timely manner. Ensures effective service excellence for a patient outcome that is a positive and caring experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.
Work Experience:
5 years of experience in a clinical and/or pathology laboratory 3 years of pediatric experience Nationally certified in Phlebotomy (i.e.
ASPT, AMT, NSP, NHA
).

Salary Range:
Minimum 17.97/hour - Maximum 28.74/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
