Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines patient care, clinical support, and administrative duties to ensure seamless delivery of medical services across various specialties such as primary care, preventative medicine , test and treat, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient service while supporting healthcare providers with accurate specimen collection, vital signs measurement, triage and administrative tasks. Duties Prepare patients for examinations by taking comprehensive histories and documenting symptoms accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary puncture, ensuring proper labeling and handling for laboratory analysis Assist with procedures including X-ray imaging, medication administration, and basic life support during emergency situations Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature with precision Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance information, updating medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas and equipment in compliance with infection control standards Assist healthcare providers during inpatient, outpatient, emergency medicine, and surgical procedures across diverse settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers Document clinical notes accurately, including ICD coding for diagnoses to ensure proper billing and record-keeping Support medical administrative functions like appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and managing EHR documentation Experience Previous experience working in dermatology clinics or hospital medicine settings preferred but not required Hands-on experience with phlebotomy techniques in outpatient or inpatient environments Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and specimen collection Experience supporting emergency medicine or Level I/II trauma centers highly desirable Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics care, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room) environments or internal medicine practices is a plus Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in ICD coding or medication administration are advantageous Strong understanding of hospital experience protocols including intake procedures and vital signs measurement Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patient lives through energetic support and expert clinical care. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
