Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomy Technician, where you will play a vital role in collecting and processing blood specimens with precision and care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to patient care, laboratory excellence, and teamwork. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will ensure accurate specimen collection, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional service to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will directly contribute to accurate diagnostics and improved health outcomes.
STATE CERTIFICATION REQUIRED.
Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Collect, label, and process blood and other specimens following strict laboratory procedures and protocols Enter patient data accurately into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality, scanning results into charts. Handle specimens with care, ensuring proper handling, storage, and transportation for laboratory testing Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations such as Basic Life Support (BLS) guidelines Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or medical laboratory work with a focus on phlebotomy or specimen collection Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to blood sampling and patient care Certification or training in Phlebotomy and CPR. Familiarity with hospital or clinical laboratory environments, including EMR/EHR systems and data entry processes Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward patients Understanding of aseptic techniques, blood sampling procedures, and specimen handling protocols to ensure accuracy and safety Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day! Pay:
$15.50 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
