This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate and efficient specimen collection. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for traveling to various sites, including homes, clinics, and hospitals, to perform blood draws and related procedures. Your expertise will help facilitate timely diagnostics and contribute to improved patient outcomes in diverse settings. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Collect, label, process, and transport laboratory specimens following established protocols and safety standards Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe and effective specimen collection Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen handling in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and demonstrating empathy across all age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics Adhere to laboratory procedures, techniques, and quality control measures to guarantee accurate results Assist with specimen processing, handling, and data entry to support laboratory workflows efficiently Skills Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling Prior experience in medical laboratory work or clinical settings with a focus on phlebotomy or specimen handling Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for data entry and documentation accuracy Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and blood sampling techniques across diverse patient populations such as pediatrics and geriatrics Ability to lift heavy loads safely when handling equipment or specimens; physical stamina is essential CPR/BLS certification required to ensure readiness for emergency situations in the field Embark on a rewarding career that combines mobility with meaningful patient interactions!
