Job Description:

THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION THAT SUPPORTS OUR LAB SERVICES TEAM AT OUR LOCATION IN COVINGTON, LA. SCOPE

Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, and prepare for processing by the laboratory. Greet and receive all patients in a professional, warm, and efficient manner. Utilizing the laboratory software; register patients into the system for proper specimen processing. Make sure to maximize in-house lab processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Perform venipuncture on patients in both a timely and professional manner. 2. Verify lab orders are available and patients are registered. 3. Process specimens for internal and external processing. 4. Management of Lab area

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required Graduate of a phlebotomy training program Phlebotomy Certification or Laboratory Assistant Certification highly preferred 2 years' experience in a lab required; oncology experience preferred.
