Job Description

Purpose:
Provide skilled venipuncture services for all patients and assist the medical technologist in processing samples and information.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Training in venipuncture. Exposure to laboratory instrumentation and quality control practices Computer and word processing skills. Current CPR certification. Able to work all shifts. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Possesses positive customer service skills.
Working Conditions:
Employee will be lifting and carrying up to 25% of the day. Employee will be sitting 10% of the day. Employee will be standing and walking 45% of the day. Employee will be twisting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and bending 10% of the day. Employee will be reaching at or above shoulder level 10% of the day.
