$30/hr on w2 Job Summary Hospital is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist Technician to join its Laboratory team. Under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, Assistant Phlebotomy Supervisor, and Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomist Technician will collect blood specimens from patients across all age groups and accurately process specimen accessions and requisitions in the laboratory computer system. Key Responsibilities Collect blood specimens safely and accurately from newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients . Respond promptly to STAT requests and prioritize specimen collection as required. Properly document phlebotomy activities and maintain required logs and records. Perform specimen accessioning, including patient identification, test entry, and specimen labeling according to laboratory protocols. Transport specimens between departments as needed. Assist with specimen processing and specimens brought into the laboratory. Provide blood collection services at nursing homes, patient homes requiring home care, and satellite facilities when needed. Support general laboratory operations and assist in understaffed areas. Start glucose tolerance tests and answer laboratory telephone calls as needed. Follow all hospital and laboratory policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and rights while providing respectful patient care. Promote excellent customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience. Participate in quality improvement and laboratory safety activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience & Skills Phlebotomy experience in a hospital or laboratory setting . Experience drawing blood from pediatric patients is required/preferred . Experience working with patients across multiple age groups, including newborns through geriatric populations. Experience with Meditech and/or Mobilab is preferred. Strong patient identification, specimen labeling, and accessioning skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

$1,100.00

•$1,200.00 per week
