Part-Time Medical Assistant We are seeking a dependable, compassionate Medical Assistant to support a patient-centered outpatient medical practice. This role is ideal for an experienced candidate seeking flexible, part-time hours in a collaborative clinical environment. Under the supervision of a physician, the Medical Assistant will perform a range of clinical and administrative duties to support efficient patient care, wellness services, and office operations. Responsibilities Welcome patients in a courteous, professional manner Complete patient check-in and check-out procedures Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and other intake information Assist with patient care activities in accordance with established policies and procedures Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection Conduct or assist with routine wellness screenings, such as EKG/ECG, spirometry/PFT, ABI, vision, hearing, and health-risk assessments Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment Assist the physician during patient visits and procedures as needed Schedule appointments and manage patient communications Operate a multi-line telephone system, take accurate messages, and ensure timely follow-up Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record system Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all applicable safety and privacy standards Qualifications At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred Previous experience in patient care or a medical-office setting preferred Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required Experience using EMR systems and strong computer skills Familiarity with ECG/EKG, pulmonary function testing, ABI, vision, and hearing screening equipment is preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient-service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a healthcare team Reliable attendance, accountability, and dependable transportation Position Details Job type:
