Job Description
Pediatric Health Care Associates is a large, pediatric, group practice on the North Shore of Boston. We are looking for a phlebotomist to join our team! Job Description Your role is to provide phlebotomy and point-of-care testing services under the direction of the Lab Manager. The Phlebotomist will perform daily testing accurately while maintaining a safe and professional environment. The phlebotomist collects clinical specimens and performs point-of-care testing following established practices and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Professional customer service
- Pediatric Phlebotomy
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Order Entry
- Point of Care Testing
- Be organized and dependable
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy experience (see required experience)
- Medical Assistants (applications accepted if experience requirement is met)
- Competency in infection control procedures and preventative practices
Required Experience:
- Minimum of one year of continuous phlebotomy experience is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills are imperative
- Proficient computer and technology skills
- Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Must have reliable transportation -Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
