Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly to patients in various community settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care, ensuring accurate and timely sample collection for diagnostic testing. As a key member of our mobile healthcare unit, you will promote health and wellness by providing professional, efficient, and friendly service in diverse environments. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity and patient safety. Collect, process, and handle laboratory specimens accurately following established protocols and safety standards. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support clinical assessments and ensure proper specimen collection procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of specimen collection, patient information, and relevant data entry into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during specimen collection. Adhere to laboratory procedures, techniques, and safety guidelines while demonstrating proficiency in blood sampling, specimen handling, and laboratory work experience. Lift heavy supplies or specimens when necessary and follow proper ergonomics to prevent injury during daily tasks. Skills Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and clinical laboratory experience related to phlebotomy. Proficiency in venipuncture (blood draws), blood sampling, and specimen collection/processing with attention to detail. Excellent patient care skills with experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and aseptic technique. Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for data entry and documentation purposes. Basic life support (BLS) certification including CPR training to respond effectively in emergency situations. Experience working in hospital or clinical environments with a focus on patient service and customer service excellence. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
