Phlebotomist
Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens from patients in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner. Your expertise will support accurate laboratory testing and diagnosis, ensuring high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Prepare and process specimens according to laboratory protocols, maintaining proper labeling and handling Assist with patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during specimen collection Record accurate patient information, vital signs, and relevant data into electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, including infection control practices and proper specimen handling Support laboratory operations by organizing supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring equipment cleanliness Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of specimens for testing Demonstrate proficiency in physiology knowledge, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to blood sampling Assist in training new staff or students in phlebotomy techniques and laboratory procedures as needed Handle heavy lifting of supplies or equipment when necessary while maintaining safety protocols
MUST HAVE
2+ years of phlebotomy experience

Shift Timings :
Afternoons:
12:00 pm
•8:30 pm (8 hrs) Weekly schedule : 40 Hour Guarantee
•No weekend HC1
Pay:
$22.00
•$24.00 per hour
Experience:
phlebotomy: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
BLS Certification from AHA and Phlebotomy Certification (Required)
