Mobile Examiner - Independent ContractorPosition Overview APPS is seeking reliable, professional Mobile Examiners to perform paramedical examinations for life insurance applicants and other clients. Examiners travel to applicants' homes, places of business, or other mutually agreed-upon locations to complete examinations and collect required specimens. This position is an independent contractor opportunity , providing flexibility to set your own schedule and accept exams based on your availability and service area. Responsibilities Contact applicants/clients promptly after receiving an assigned case to arrange the examination. Maintain contact with applicants at least once every 3 days, or sooner when appropriate, until the examination is completed or the case is otherwise resolved. Schedule examinations directly with applicants at mutually convenient times. Travel to applicants' homes, places of business, or other agreed-upon locations. Collect required specimens, including blood, urine, and/or saliva when applicable. Obtain height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and other required measurements. Complete all required paperwork accurately and thoroughly. Properly process, package, and prepare specimens for shipment. Submit completed examinations and paperwork promptly according to APPS requirements. Communicate with APPS regarding case status, scheduling difficulties, applicant issues, or other concerns. Maintain professional and courteous communication with applicants, agents, and APPS staff. Protect applicant privacy and maintain confidentiality of all information. Manage assigned cases responsibly and ensure that cases do not remain unattended. Independent Contractor Status Mobile Examiners are engaged by APPS as independent contractors, not employees . Examiners are responsible for managing their own schedules and determining their availability for accepting examination assignments.
As an independent contractor:
You control your own schedule and availability. You are responsible for your own transportation and related business expenses. You are responsible for applicable taxes and other obligations associated with independent contractor status. Work is performed on an assignment-by-assignment basis. There is no guarantee of a specific number of examinations or hours. Compensation Compensation is paid on a per-examination basis . The amount paid may vary depending on the type of examination and services required. Because examiners are independent contractors, compensation is based on completed assignments rather than an hourly or salaried wage.
