Phlebotomist/Laboratory Technical Assistant Status:

Full Time - Non-Exempt Reports to: Laboratory & Radiology Manager __________________________________________________________________________________________ Purpose and Scope of Position This position is responsible for supporting laboratory functions at Beartooth Billings Clinic including phlebotomy and assisting Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Technicians. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Job Requirements Required Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent Phlebotomy certified or be able to obtain certification within 90 days. Certify to perform UDS (DOT and non-DOT) and BAT within one year. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above, tasks, knowledge, skills, or abilities will be considered Preferred Qualifications Advanced education in areas of science, chemistry and mathematics normally acquired through college level courses preferred Prior laboratory or health care experience preferred Managerial Experience N/A Special Requirements Must be able to reason independently and work with minimal guidance. Must be able to interpret data and make sound judgments based on those interpretations. Must deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring tact, judgment, and poise. Must be able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and schedules.
