Job Description Position Summary Performs Phlebotomy and related specimen collection on In Patients, Out Patients, on all age groups for a variety of lab tests. Must have a valid driver's license. Will be required to travel to different facilities using a FirstHealth company car. Responsibilities Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary methods, as well as urine specimens from all age groups, for a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. These are used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides specimen collection information and test preparation information to nursing, patients and family members as appropriate. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program that includes phlebotomy or a minimum of 6 months experience in phlebotomy.

Preferred:

ASCP, AMT, or ASPT certification.
