Outpatient Oncology Responsibilities:
Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary methods, as well as urine specimens from all age groups, for a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. These are used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides specimen collection information to nursing, patients and family members as appropriate.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program that includes phlebotomy, or a minimum of 6 months full time experience in phlebotomy. ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
