Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, every other Saturday
Credentialing State:
New Jersey.
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents Client's to patients and is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures after venipuncture.
Ensure specimen tubes are properly labeled and verify the patient's information on the labels.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Maintain a safe, professional environment and provide excellent customer service.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
Work effectively in a high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
Demonstrate confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information.
Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Support multiple locations or Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations based on business needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including:
Pediatric collections
Geriatric collections
Capillary collections
Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data-entry experience.
Excellent phlebotomy skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide quality, error-free work.
Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Ability to travel between locations and cover PSC/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
Strong communication, customer-service, and organizational skills.
Training:
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
