As a Burn Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting nurses, enhancing patient care, and creating a safe environment for individuals across our organization. A typical day for a Burn Technician may include: Administering daily hydrotherapy and dressing changes of all adult and pediatric burn patients, Performing wound care on designated consults and wound management cases throughout the medical center. Assisting Registered Nurses with patient care as assigned by Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator, Reinforcing patient teaching initiated by Registered Nurses during wound care. Using and understanding of the principals of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific assistance in treatment and care, This role might be for you if: Clear, professional communication defines how you interact with nursing staff, colleagues, and the healthcare team You enjoy focusing on precise clinical observations in a fast-paced hospital environment Attention to detail and organization help you deliver accurate, continuous cardiac monitoring Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive attitude are important to you Adaptability allows you to manage changing priorities and multi-task while maintaining professionalism Continuous learning and mastering cardiac rhythm interpretation motivate you Collaborative teamwork is something you value and actively contribute to every day To be considered for this Burn Technician opportunity, you are passionate about delivering vigilant patient care while creating a positive impact for every individual we serve. This full-time position offers an evening shift schedule. You hold a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification. Prior health care experience preferred (i.e. Nurse's Aide, Monitor Tech, EKG Tech, Phlebotomy, EMT).
