Duration:
2 months (possible extension)
Shift:
M-F 7:00am-5:00pm EST-Possible alt Sat 7:00am-12:00pm
Pay Rate:
$26.88/hr.
Roles and responsibilities:
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. Have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general. Requirements Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting (Preferred) Basic computer and data entry skills Additional Requirements Reliable personal transportation (public transportation, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable) Valid driver's license and clean driving record (Required) Eligible for mileage reimbursement when traveling between sites Must be punctual and ready to work at any assigned location within the coverage area Skills Strong phlebotomy and patient interaction skills Independent and able to manage time effectively Flexible, adaptable, and dependable in changing environments Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting Professional and patient-focused attitude Work Environment This is a float position that will require frequent travel between patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy sites within the assigned region. Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability. #
