Job Description
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring Phlebotomist's in Newark, New Jersey! This role is on-site. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:
Type:
- Six-month contract with potential for extension or perm hire
Schedule:
- Between 6am-6pm Mon-Fri, weekends and holidays may apply
Pay:
- $20.00 to $22.00 an hour
- Position Summary
- We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages.
- Required Qualifications
- + High school diploma or GED. + Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy training program. + Current Phlebotomy certification (ASCP, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or equivalent), if required by state regulations. + Knowledge of venipuncture techniques, specimen collection, and laboratory procedures. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + One or more years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital, physician office, clinic, blood bank, or laboratory setting. + Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and laboratory information systems (LIS). + Experience drawing blood from pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-access patients.
- Skills & Competencies
- + Proficiency in venipuncture and specimen collection techniques. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Excellent patient service and communication skills. + Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult situations. + Strong organizational and time-management abilities. + Team-oriented with a commitment to quality patient care.
