Job Description

Overview Join our mission as a Certified Phlebotomist, where your expertise in specimen collection and patient care will make a meaningful difference. In this vital role, you'll perform blood draws, handle specimens with precision, and provide compassionate care. Your skills will support accurate laboratory testing and contribute to timely diagnoses, ensuring patients receive the best possible care. Training in the EMR system and office procedures will be provided. Duties Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary puncture using aseptic technique, ensuring patient comfort and safety Process and handle specimens accurately, including labeling, documentation, and proper storage or transport following laboratory protocols Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and addressing any concerns with empathy Record vital signs and relevant patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems with meticulous attention to detail Maintain a clean, organized work environment by adhering to infection control standards and sterilization procedures Assist with patient care activities such as positioning, patient identification verification, and providing basic life support (BLS) when necessary Support laboratory staff by performing data entry related to specimen collection and processing, ensuring accuracy for lab analysis Skills Proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling Experience in EMR/EHR systems and data entry tasks. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to care for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics Knowledge of aseptic technique, specimen handling, and phlebotomy specimen processing standards Certification as a Phlebotomist with current CPR/BLS certification is required for this role Join our team where your work matters every day and helps improve lives!

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
