The ideal candidate will have strong patient service skills, laboratory experience, and a thorough understanding of phlebotomy techniques. This role involves traveling to different sites to perform specimen collection, ensuring accurate procedures, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using proper aseptic techniques Collect specimens from patients in diverse settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community sites Accurately label and process specimens for laboratory testing Obtain vital signs and document patient information accurately Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent patient service throughout the collection process Follow all safety protocols and maintain infection control standards Maintain detailed records of specimen collection and transportation Adhere to laboratory procedures, techniques, and medical terminology standards Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to coordinate specimen collection Experience Prior laboratory procedures and techniques experience preferred Clinical laboratory experience or hospital experience is highly desirable Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, venipuncture, and blood sampling methods Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to blood collection Experience with specimen processing and handling in a clinical setting Strong patient care skills with a focus on professionalism and compassion Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment practices is a plus
