Shift- Mon-Fri 6:30am-5:30pm (8 hours between this range) every other Sat. 7am-1pm Floating position (mileage paid) 2+ years of phlebotomy experience performing blood draws on all ages.
Position Responsibilities:
Phlebotomy Technician with experience doing phlebotomy blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Courteous to patients, explaining the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection required. Experience with straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen. Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.Requirements:
2+ years of experience doing blood draws on Pediatrics to Geriatrics. Hard stick skills and experience Floating position- must have a reliable vehicle, a good driving history and a valid drivers license. Must pass a color vision test. Apply for immediate consideration.Job Types:
