In this vital role, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients, ensuring accurate labeling and handling, and maintaining a high standard of patient care. Your expertise will support diagnostic testing and patient treatment plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' health journeys while working in a dynamic clinical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in laboratory procedures, excellent patient service skills, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity and patient safety Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, including proper labeling, handling, and documentation Assist patients with specimen collection procedures while providing compassionate care and clear instructions Maintain compliance with all safety standards and protocols, and infection control guidelines Record vital signs and relevant patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems with precision Ensure proper specimen storage, transportation, and documentation to facilitate timely laboratory analysis Demonstrate knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support accurate specimen collection across diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics Qualifications Proven experience in medical laboratory work or clinical laboratory settings with a focus on phlebotomy or specimen collection Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and specimen handling protocols Certification or training in phlebotomy Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and record keeping Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and stand for extended periods during specimen collection procedures Knowledge of safety standards, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Basic understanding of physiology, anatomy, blood sampling methods, vital signs monitoring, and clinical laboratory operations Join our team to contribute your skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment where your efforts directly impact patient outcomes. Pay:
