Primarily responsible for specimen collection procedures, including but not limited to, venipuncture and capillary draws for patients in the nursing home and home phlebotomy areas.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
High School diploma or GED Successful completion of a Clinical Phlebotomy rotation and/or six (6) months experience in phlebotomy which includes micro-collection and butterfly collection on both geriatric and neonate/pediatric patients preferred Proof of certification required if experience is less than six (6) months Possess valid NYS Driver's license and have use of vehicle

ENVIRONMENT Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; occasional exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions Schedule flexibility Phlebotomy supply transport as needed Participation in on-call scheduling per established rotation, and mandate if required
