Job Description

Duties:
This position is for a full time phlebotomist and processor in our patient service center.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 07:30 A.M-17:00 P.M. and Friday 07:30 A.M
  • 12:30 P.M.
  • Perform waived laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of senior laboratory staff
  • Maintain laboratory information management systems to ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Assist with data management and analysis, including recording and interpreting test results, accessioning specimens in electronic LIMS, following HIPPA laws and maintaining contact with provider ordering locations to ensure correct documentation/orders are received for specimen processing.
  • Maintains clean and well stocked work environment. Duties include ordering and stocking of phlebotomy and lab supplies.
  • Primary duty is to perform routine venipuncture and specimen collection/processing
Qualifications:
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience with venipuncture techniques strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data management practices preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability required. Must maintain good attendance record and be punctual
