Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 4:00 AM-12:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join our team in Tulsa, OK. This position involves traveling to nursing homes throughout the Tulsa area using a company-provided vehicle to perform blood draws on patients. After completing the mobile collections, the phlebotomist will return to the home location to process specimens. Key Responsibilities Travel to nursing homes throughout the Tulsa area using a company vehicle.
Perform blood draws and specimen collection from patients at nursing home facilities.
Work with primarily geriatric patients, including patients with difficult or hard-to-find veins.
Ensure proper patient identification and specimen collection procedures.
Handle and process specimens accurately upon returning to the home location.
Maintain specimen integrity and follow established laboratory procedures.
Provide excellent customer service and compassionate patient care.
Follow all laboratory safety, infection-control, and compliance requirements.
Maintain the company vehicle and follow applicable driving and safety policies. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED.
Phlebotomy experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
Strong venipuncture skills.
Ability to work independently while traveling between multiple nursing home locations.
Strong patient-care and customer-service skills.
Ability to perform specimen processing.
Ability to work with geriatric patients and hard-stick patients.
Valid Driver's License. Preferred Skills Experience drawing blood from geriatric patients.
Experience with hard-stick patients.
Strong specimen processing experience.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple collection locations during the workday.
Work Environment Home base:
9330 East 41st Street, Tulsa, OK
Travel throughout the Tulsa area to nursing home facilities.
Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.
Patient-facing role with a focus on mobile blood collection.
Candidate will return to the home location for specimen processing. Compliance Requirements Flu vaccination is required.
Hepatitis B:
Required/RTB as applicable.
Color vision screening is required.
Negative THC screen: Not required.
