This role combines direct patient care, blood draws, and daily clinic support. The ideal candidate is organized, takes initiative, and enjoys working closely with a small team. Responsibilities- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories and medication lists.
- Perform blood draws and accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for transport.
- Assist the provider with examinations and procedures within training and authorized duties.
- Prepare and disinfect exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record.
- Assist with scheduling, phones, patient check-in, and other administrative duties as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow infection-control procedures. Qualifications
- Medical assisting training or relevant clinical experience.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and specimen handling.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- A professional, welcoming approach to patient care.
- Comfort using electronic health records.
- Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it before starting.
