Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly at patients' homes, clinics, or other designated locations. As a key member of our mobile healthcare team, you will promote health and wellness through expert blood sampling, vital signs measurement, and patient interaction, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity. Collect and process various laboratory specimens accurately, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assist in patient assessment. Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process. Maintain meticulous documentation of all procedures within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, including data entry and specimen tracking. Handle specimens with care during collection, labeling, storage, and transportation to ensure proper handling for laboratory analysis. Lift heavy equipment or supplies safely when necessary and follow all safety protocols to prevent injury or contamination. Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or medical laboratory work with a focus on phlebotomy or specimen collection. Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to blood sampling and patient care. Certification in Phlebotomy (such as CPT or equivalent), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Prior hospital or clinical laboratory experience preferred; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Ability to perform venipuncture confidently using aseptic techniques while maintaining patient comfort. Capable of standing for extended periods and performing heavy lifting when required during specimen collection or equipment setup.
