Contract Duration:

3 months contract with possible extension

Hours:

40 hours/week

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-3:00 PM

Rotational Saturdays:

6:00 AM-12:00

PM Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) performs blood collection and specimen processing while providing excellent patient service. The position involves direct patient interaction and requires accurate, safe, and efficient phlebotomy practices. The PSR II may work at a Patient Service Center (PSC), In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) location, or other assigned locations based on business needs. The candidate must also be able to float to Carlisle, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections accurately and safely.

Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.

Perform pediatric and geriatric blood draws.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain required signatures.

Ensure specimens are correctly labeled in the patient's presence.

Maintain accurate records and required documentation.

Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate customer service.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and dress code standards.

Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Adapt to changing priorities and staffing needs.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

    3 years of phlebotomy experience
  • Required
    Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Required
    Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.

Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.

Customer service experience preferred.

Keyboard/data-entry experience required.

Ability to provide quality, error-free work.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to exercise good judgment and follow established procedures.

Reliable transportation required.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record, if applicable.

Must be flexible to support staffing needs, including rotational Saturdays, holidays, on-call, overtime, and multiple locations as required.
