Duties Collect blood samples through venipuncture and skin puncture techniques, ensuring proper specimen collection and labeling. Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support patient assessments. Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures, including patient examinations and medical documentation. Maintain a clean, organized work environment by adhering to infection control standards and laboratory safety procedures. Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Record accurate patient information and laboratory data using medical terminology and electronic health records systems. Qualifications Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to blood sampling and patient care. Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture (blood sampling), specimen collection, and processing techniques. Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience preferred; familiarity with hospital protocols is a plus. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately. Ability to follow aseptic technique rigorously to prevent contamination or infection. Knowledge of vital signs measurement and basic clinical procedures required for patient assessment.
