Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Meat Market Manager to lead our meat department with enthusiasm and expertise. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service while managing daily operations efficiently. As a Meat Market Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the meat section, including inventory control, staff supervision, food preparation, and sales performance. Duties Supervise daily meat department operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards Lead staff training on food handling, safety protocols, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service excellence Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices Oversee food preparation processes, including cutting, packaging, and presentation of meat products to meet quality standards Handle cutting all varieties of meats, from beef, pork, chicken. Processing for resell and pricing structure. Implement food safety management procedures in compliance with health regulations and company policies Conduct staff scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment Maintain a clean, organized store environment that promotes hospitality and customer satisfaction Analyze profit and loss reports to optimize sales strategies and improve overall department profitability Qualifications Proven experience in food service management, restaurant management, or retail meat department leadership with supervising responsibilities Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, meat cutting skills, and food safety standards Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly desirable Excellent team management skills including training & development, interviewing, and leadership capabilities Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory control and financial analysis Knowledge of food industry regulations related to food handling, safety management, and hospitality standards Exceptional communication skills for managerial tasks such as staff supervision and customer service interactions Experience with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and managing hospitality teams is a plus Join our team as a Meat Market Manager where your energy fuels success!
