Pediatric Phlebotomist Pediatric Associates of Franklin is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Pediatric Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience drawing blood from infants, children, and adolescents while creating a calm, positive experience for patients and families. Position Summary The Pediatric Phlebotomist collects blood specimens, prepares and processes laboratory samples, and ensures a safe, efficient, and comforting experience for pediatric patients. This role works closely with providers, nurses, and clinical staff to support high-quality patient care. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on pediatric patients of all ages Prepare, label, process, and package laboratory specimens according to established protocols Ensure specimen integrity and accuracy for testing and transport Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Follow all laboratory, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control policies and procedures Assist with patient flow and other clinical support duties as needed Maintain phlebotomy supplies, equipment, and work areas Provide compassionate support to children and families during blood collection procedures Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, patients, and caregivers Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Phlebotomy certification preferred Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required Pediatric phlebotomy experience strongly preferred Excellent venipuncture skills and specimen collection techniques Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and reassuring when working with children and anxious parents Experience with electronic medical records preferred Must be able to work some Saturdays Why Join Our Team?
