In this energized position, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens with precision and compassion, ensuring accurate processing for diagnostic testing. Your expertise in laboratory procedures, patient service, and specimen handling will contribute directly to quality healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity. Accurately label, handle, and process specimens following laboratory protocols to maintain sample quality. Assist patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—by providing compassionate care and clear instructions during specimen collection. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology as needed to support diagnostic procedures. Enter data into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems with precision, ensuring all information is complete and accurate. Follow laboratory procedures for specimen collection, processing, and transportation to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to infection control protocols such as proper aseptic technique. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members to facilitate smooth workflow and exceptional patient service. Experience Prior experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques including venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen handling. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR/BLS). Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and documentation accuracy. Ability to lift heavy objects safely when handling supplies or specimens as required by the role. Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience involving pediatric or geriatric patients is advantageous. Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day! Pay:
$16.00 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
