Job Description

Job Summary Performs phlebotomy tasks in a physician office setting, including specimen collection and processing, ensuring proper patient identification and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities Collects blood samples following standard protocols Prepares specimens for laboratory analysis Maintains accurate documentation and patient data Ensures compliance with safety and infection control standards Assists with inventory and proper disposal of biohazard materials Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required) Experience & Skills Knowledge of medical laboratory practices, procedures, and terminology (required) Familiarity with lab manuals, formularies, ICD-10 codes, and reference lab procedures (required) Certifications & Licenses Required within ninety (90) days: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
ASCP board certification or equivalent , Certified phlebotomy technician
