  • Draw high-quality blood specimens from patients in a safe and professional manner, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation.
  • Verify patient information, including demographic details and signatures, to ensure specimen accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all collected samples and patient interactions.
  • Follow established procedures and safety protocols to maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures to foster trust and confidence.
  • Exercise good judgment to make decisions based on established guidelines, ensuring error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Travel to multiple locations as needed, including patient service centers or in-office phlebotomy locations, with flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Required Skills
  • Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure specimen accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if applicable.
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keyboard/data entry skills for documentation purposes. Additional Skills & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Prior experience in a Patient Service Center environment highly preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required if traveling between locations.
