Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist/Floater to provide high-quality specimen collection services across multiple CPL locations. This role performs venipuncture and capillary draws, verifies patient identity, labels and processes specimens, and ensures timely delivery to the laboratory. The floater supports various clinics and patient service centers, adapting to different workflows while maintaining strict safety, infection control, and quality standards. The position collaborates with laboratory and clinical teams, delivers compassionate patient care, and upholds CPL's commitment to accuracy, integrity, and reliable diagnostic results. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients of all ages at multiple CPL locations. Verify patient identity, obtain required documentation, and ensure accurate specimen labeling and documentation. Handle, process, and prepare specimens for transport according to laboratory protocols and safety standards. Follow infection control, biohazard, and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Provide compassionate, professional service, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns. Travel between assigned clinics and patient service centers, adapting to varying workflows and schedules. Collaborate with laboratory staff, clinicians, and support teams to ensure timely testing and results. Use electronic systems to enter orders, track specimens, and maintain accurate records. Monitor supplies and equipment, ensuring proper function, cleanliness, and availability at each site. Uphold CPL quality, privacy, and compliance standards, including HIPAA and internal policies.
