Job Description

Premier Independent Physicians are adding Phlebotomists to our team in Denton, TX. We have 2 openings: Primary Care Office•Premier Independent Physicians of Denton Endocrinology Office•North Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology of Denton The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood, tagging each sample, and then working closely with the lab to make sure that the proper samples are delivered for each patient. Responsibilities Collect and tag specimens exactly as outlined in each medical requisition Develop effective collection techniques as they relate to groups such as pediatric and geriatric patients Properly package each specimen and ensure that every specimen is delivered to the laboratory on time Maintain an organized and clean work area based on state health laws and the guidelines of our medical organization Answer patient questions regarding collection techniques and offer additional resources on the collection process if a patient requests them Requirements High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred) Must possess a valid state phlebotomy certification Legible handwriting is required Excellent patient service and patient relationship skills Strong attention to detail What are the details: This is a full-time position. Monday•
Thursday:
8:00am•5:00pm.
Friday:
8:00am•12:00pm. Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour and is dependent on experience.
