QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma or GED Experience:
o Two (2) years' in practical field experience as a phlebotomist or Licensed Nurse. o Ability to teach students theory and hands on skills.Certification or Licensure:
Phlebotomy Technician or a Nurse.Training or Technical Skills:
o Demonstrated proficiency in applying healthcare safety standards and regulations. o Computer skills, Proficient with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets and Drive as well as Microsoft Office Suite to create, share, and manage files.Preferred:
Experience teaching phlebotomy skills, including blood collection and EKG procedures. Proficient with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets, and Drive to create, share, and manage work.Special Demands:

The position will report to the Program Coordinator of Allied Health for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:- Teach students proper techniques for phlebotomy.
- Instruct students on EKG procedures.
- Demonstrate and supervise hands-on skills in a safe lab environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations during all lab activities.
- Assess student performance through written exams, skills check-off, and practical demonstrations.
- Prepare students for industry-based certification exams.
- Foster professional behavior, communication skills, and patient care etiquette.
- Provide support and remediation to help students meet competency requirements.
- Collaborate with school staff and administration to enhance program quality.
- Participate in training sessions.
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning by completing all required training, compliance courses, and professional development activities promptly and within established deadlines.
