Job Summary Join our dynamic Gameday Men's Health team as a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting laboratory operations and patient care. Duties Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary puncture, ensuring proper specimen handling and labeling Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, vital signs measurement, and basic clinical procedures Prepare patients for laboratory tests by explaining procedures and providing compassionate care tailored to geriatrics and pediatrics Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, test orders, and specimen details using EMR/EHR systems Follow strict aseptic techniques during specimen collection and processing to prevent contamination or infection Support laboratory operations by processing specimens efficiently, entering data accurately, and managing sample storage Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times Qualifications Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or medical laboratory work; prior hospital or clinical setting experience is highly preferred Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR required; additional phlebotomy certification is a plus Skilled in venipuncture (blood sampling), specimen collection/handling, and blood sampling techniques Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and patient record management Ability to lift heavy objects safely as needed for specimen transport or equipment setup Excellent customer service skills with a caring approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics This role offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact patient health outcomes.
