Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team at Regent Parks Clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood sampling and specimen collection with a focus on patient care and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment, ensuring high-quality service to patients. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for blood sampling with precision and care. Collect, label, and process specimens according to established protocols. Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection procedures. Provide exceptional patient service by ensuring a comfortable experience during the blood draw process. Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure proper handling and processing of specimens. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards in all laboratory procedures. Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and cleanliness of the work area. Stay updated on best practices in phlebotomy and participate in ongoing training as required. Qualifications Proven experience in specimen collection processing, particularly venipuncture. Strong knowledge of physiology related to blood sampling techniques. Familiarity with clinical laboratory environments and hospital settings is preferred. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and adherence to laboratory procedures is essential. Certification in phlebotomy or relevant training is highly desirable. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
