Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where you'll play a vital role in patient care by expertly collecting blood samples and ensuring accurate specimen handling. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help facilitate efficient laboratory testing, supporting diagnosis and treatment. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and care, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Collect, label, and process blood specimens accurately, ensuring proper handling and storage for laboratory testing Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure comfort and safety during procedures Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen data within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and demonstrating compassionate care across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics Follow laboratory procedures for specimen collection, processing, and transportation to ensure specimen integrity Assist with maintaining a clean, organized work environment while complying with infection control standards such as aseptic technique Experience Prior experience in medical laboratory work or clinical laboratory settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques, blood sampling methods including venipuncture and blood collection from pediatric or geriatric patients Familiarity with hospital environments or healthcare facilities enhances your ability to adapt quickly to clinical workflows Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for data entry, documentation, and specimen tracking Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures to perform duties accurately and efficiently Join us as a Phlebotomist where your dedication to patient care combined with technical expertise will support vital diagnostic processes.
