Job Description
Jacksonville Tx M-F 8:30a-5:00p Tyler Tx M-F 8:00a-5:30p
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
- Verify patient information and ensure proper identification before sample collection
- Label and properly store collected specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow established protocols for specimen handling and processing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, test requisitions, and specimen collection
- Monitor patient vital signs during the phlebotomy process
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding sample collection procedures
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines at all times
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and blood sampling procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and laboratory techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and specimen collection processing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen labeling and documentation
