This position offers an ongoing temp opportunity in a supportive clinical setting, where your attention to detail and compassionate interaction with patients will ensure accurate specimen collection for laboratory testing. If you are reliable, customer-focused, and motivated to contribute to important health services, this role is a great fit for you. Responsibilities Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens Collect urine specimens from patients with professionalism and care Follow departmental policies to correctly identify patients before specimen collection Properly label, document, and prepare specimens for shipment Demonstrate excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population Adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA standards when handling specimens Strictly follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy Report low volume shifts, unusual issues, or procedural deviations to supervision Maintain a clean, organized patient and work area at all times Assist with order processing and office supply management as needed Required Skills Verifiable record of providing excellent customer service Reliable with a strong work ethic Strong computer skills, including managing multiple programs, email, and reports Fast and accurate data entry capabilities Clear, confident, and credible communication skills Additional Skills & Requirements Ability to stand for long periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Physical activities include walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday with morning and afternoon shifts, and Friday morning shift Experience in specimen collection, clinic support, or healthcare environment preferred High school diploma or equivalent required This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in patient care while working in a dynamic healthcare setting.
