Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens from patients with precision and care, ensuring accurate laboratory testing and diagnosis. Your expertise in specimen collection, patient service, and laboratory procedures will help facilitate seamless diagnostic processes. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute directly to patient care while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values professionalism and compassion. You will have to have Medical Assistant Background Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Collect, process, and handle various laboratory specimens accurately according to established protocols Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and cooperation Record vital signs, patient information, and specimen details in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems with precision Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety guidelines Assist with patient care activities, including providing support for geriatrics and pediatrics populations Handle specimen transportation and storage properly to prevent contamination or degradation Triage Patient for the Provider Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or medical laboratory work preferred Certification in phlebotomy or relevant training in venipuncture and specimen collection Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical laboratory practices Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts Basic life support (BLS) certification such as CPR is required or obtainable upon hire Familiarity with hospital environments, EMR/EHR systems, and data entry protocols Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Strong attention to detail for specimen handling, labeling, and documentation standards Join us in making a difference through precise diagnostics and compassionate patient interactions! $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
