APPS Paramedical is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States, offering nationwide coverage as we complete insurance physicals for people applying for life, health, or disability insurance products. The Western Washington office for APPS is looking for quality medical professionals to help us complete these exams in a timely, professional manner on behalf of the insurance company the policy is being applied. Bilingual Applicants are encouraged.
Position :
Mobile Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist in Marysville/Lake Stevens/Tulalip Area.
Job Summary:
Our independent contractors (ICs) are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision as they complete quality exams while using their medical know-how. These exams are done on a mobile basis in the home or office of the client and may involve blood draws, medical histories, signatures on packets, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12 lead EKGs. They should be committed to following all compliance policies as well as safety policies and procedures while remaining sensitive to the need for accuracy and confidentiality in the gathering of client information. Depending on the exam requirements, an exam can last anywhere from 15 minutes to a little over an hour.
Hours:
Set your own schedule! We offer exams 7 days a week and 52 weeks of the year. Most of our contractors have full-time jobs and use this as an opportunity to make even more money each month. We assist in scheduling your appointments. so you get to focus more on what you do best… medical exams!
Job Details:
Reimbursement:
You are reimbursed every two weeks by direct deposit for each exam you complete.
Territory:
Set your own territory by choosing the zip codes you will work within.
Orientation:
We provide a 3-4 hour in-person orientation to verify your skills as well as show you the paperwork and website used by our ICs.
Equipment:
We may rent equipment such as tablets, EKG machines, and centrifuges. Use of your own equipment will be considered but is not guaranteed. Some items will need to be purchased Manual BP cuff Large & Extra Large. Stethoscope, Tape measure- Soft(fabric) & Metal, Printer/paper/ink, Scale - 400lb, 1 box extra gloves, 1 box alcohol swabs, 1 box band aid or coban, 1 box gauze.
Qualifications:
Actively practicing phlebotomy with a Minimum of 1 year of work experience. Trained in manual blood pressure and pulse collection. Familiarity with tablets/computers. Preferred experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health. EKG experience is preferred, but not required. Reliable vehicle with a valid state driver's License and Auto Insurance. Please expect references to be checked as well as a background check.
Education preferred:
High school diploma or equivalency. Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant state certification is required. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, please do not call.
