Coordinate lab pickups and ensure specimens are sent within required timeframes. Maintain phlebotomy supplies and keep the lab area organized and ready for patient care. Work closely with providers and clinic staff to keep patient flow moving efficiently.

Manage research lab kits and supplies, including inventory and expiration dates. Prepare and ship specimens to central laboratories, including frozen and time-sensitive samples. Maintain specimen logs, shipping records, freezer inventory, and chain-of-custody documentation. Retrieve laboratory results, resolve routine laboratory queries, and route reports for investigator review. Support pharmacokinetic blood draws and other protocol-specific collections. Perform additional point-of-care testing after training, including urine drug screening and carboxyhemoglobin testing. What We're Looking For Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification or other credential permitting phlebotomy. Strong venipuncture skills and prior phlebotomy experience. Careful specimen labeling, handling, and documentation practices. Ability to stay organized while supporting both a busy clinic and detailed clinical research protocols. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of laboratory supplies, specimens, and follow-through. Reliable and able to manage time-sensitive laboratory work. Preferred Several years of phlebotomy experience. Clinical research, specialty clinic, or laboratory experience. Experience processing and shipping specimens. Familiarity with LabCorp or other laboratory portals. Experience with frozen specimens, dry ice shipments, PK sampling, or clinical trial laboratory kits. IATA or GCP training; training can be provided if needed. Schedule Primarily Monday through Friday during normal business hours in Spokane. Clinical research visits are generally scheduled in advance, although occasional early morning, evening, or weekend availability may be needed for specific study visits.
