Manages a hospital-based inpatient and outpatient physical therapy clinic in Bethel, AK. Demonstrates commitment to corporate pillars including patient-centered excellence, employee focus, Alaska Native workforce development, community and partner satisfaction, and financial viability. Supports medical staff and participates in interdisciplinary team functions. Promotes a team atmosphere and professional development of department staff. Provides patient care including skilled physical therapy evaluations and establishment of treatment plans. Optimizes department revenue streams and manages department expenses. Coordinates an orthopedic specialty field clinic and collaborates with corporate teams to build administrative processes. Adheres to corporate, state, and federal guidelines for physical therapy practice.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Minimum four (4) years active, full-time patient care experience. Active Alaska Physical Therapist license in good standing prior to start. Current BLS certification. Previous managerial or supervisory experience preferred. Experience in hospital-based physical therapy environments, including inpatient and outpatient settings. Ability and willingness to coordinate specialty field clinics and conduct outreach that may include travel to village sites by small aircraft.
$25,000 for a three-year agreement. Retention bonus eligible. Standard employee benefits as provided by the client.
Shift:
Days. Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Work Environment and Equipment:
Hospital-based physical therapy department with hi-lo tables, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound and electrical stimulation modalities. Village-based care may require bringing portable treatment supplies for patient care. Use of standard office equipment and electronic documentation systems.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Effective verbal and written communication across cultures and with non-English speakers. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation, spreadsheets, and presentations. Mathematical ability to calculate rates, ratios, and interpret basic graphs. Reasoning ability to follow detailed instructions and solve practical clinical and administrative problems.
