Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on delivering comprehensive patient care across diverse settings. As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients' physical conditions, develop personalized care plans, and implement effective treatment strategies to promote recovery and improve quality of life. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be essential in providing high-quality rehabilitative services within inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community care environments. Duties Perform physical therapy patient care and complete documentation in a timely manner and within insurance guidelines. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and reasoning processes in carrying out physical therapy plans of care (i.e., appropriate decision-making skills). Assure physical therapy patient charges and productivity reports are performed accurately and in a timely (daily) manner. Demonstrate organizational time management by completing physical therapy work in a timely manner, utilizing available staff and resources, and not incurring any unapproved overtime. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional physical therapy patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote physical therapy patient safety and quality. Requirements Valid licensure or registration as a licensed Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in acute care hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice. Demonstrated expertise in discharge planning, care plan development, and patient education. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and patients requiring inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management purposes. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and engage with patients compassionately. Additional skills such as trigger point therapy or specialized orthopedic techniques are advantageous but not mandatory. Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of physical therapy and currently licensed in the state of Alabama.
