1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and 2 years of experience for an inpatient acute rehab unit. Details Inpatient and acute care units within a rehab department Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Caseload of 6 patients per day Patient population includes geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation cases Must be willing to float to other units One weekend required per month Holiday coverage required as needed Uses Meditech EMR Requirements Doctorate of Physical Therapy required 2 years of experience required, though 18 months may be considered with 1 year in specialty AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required Current Alabama Physical Therapist License required if applicable Active state or compact license required for consideration; pending or temporary licenses not accepted Must be able to analyze patient data and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Must be able to tolerate prolonged standing, sitting, and physical exertion including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally Normal or corrected vision and hearing required Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluations, developing plans of care, collaborating with patients, families, and other disciplines, performing therapeutic interventions, and completing documentation Local candidates accepted with no mile radius restrictions Physical presence onsite is required
