Job Description

Staff Physical Therapist
  • Outpatient Orthopedics | San Tan Physical Therapy
  • Queen Creek, AZ $70,000
  • 95,000/year + Continuing Education + PTO + 401(k) with Match + Mentorship & Growth Opportunities If you've ever wished you could practice physical therapy the way you were trained to — with time to think, connect, and truly help people heal — this is your opportunity.
At San Tan Physical Therapy, we've built a practice around what matters most: balance, growth, and people who care. You won't find impossible productivity quotas here. You'll find the space and support to do your best work, grow as a clinician, and love coming to work again. At San Tan Physical Therapy, we believe how we care for people matters just as much as the results we achieve. Our clinic was built on three core values — Integrity, Connection, and Growth. Here, excellence isn't measured by volume — it's measured by the quality of care, the strength of your relationships, and the progress of your patients. When you join San Tan PT, you're joining a team that believes in doing what's right, caring deeply, and growing together. Here, you'll have the opportunity to challenge yourself, advance your clinical expertise, and contribute to a practice that's known for its strong community reputation and award-winning outcomes — all while maintaining the balance that keeps you passionate about your work. As a Staff Physical Therapist, you'll join an award-winning outpatient orthopedic practice with a strong community reputation and loyal referral base. You'll collaborate closely with PTs and PTAs who share your passion for quality care and continual learning.
What You'll Do:
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic and sports-related injuries.
  • Incorporate advanced manual therapy and exercise-based interventions that reflect both your clinical expertise and your ongoing professional development.
  • Reassess and progress treatment plans consistently to ensure superior outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, teammates, and physicians.
  • Participate in regular collaboration sessions with the therapy team to share insights, refine techniques, and ensure consistent quality of care. This role is ideal if you:
  • Want to be part of a clinic where quality, not volume, defines success.
  • Thrive on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
  • Value working with people who are genuinely good — both in skill and spirit.
  • Are looking for a new challenge that pushes your professional growth while respecting your personal balance.
Meet Your Mentors At San Tan Physical Therapy, mentorship isn't a buzzword. Every new therapist joins a supportive environment where experienced clinicians guide your growth through collaboration, reflection, and hands-on learning. Carl Newton, PT Carl has been a practicing physical therapist for over 10 years and has helped train countless students and emerging clinicians. Before becoming a PT, he served as an adjunct professor of kinesiology, where he developed a deep understanding of movement science and performance optimization. Today, Carl brings that same academic and clinical expertise to the management and prevention of injuries in competitive runners and triathletes. He's known for his thoughtful mentorship style — blending clinical reasoning, hands-on technique, and encouragement that helps new therapists grow with confidence. Joal Miller, PT With over 25 years of experience as a physical therapist, Joal has built a career centered on clinical excellence, mentorship, and patient connection. As the founder of San Tan Physical Therapy, he has guided the clinic's growth into one of the most respected outpatient orthopedic practices in the East Valley. Joal's extensive background includes working with military and police personnel, competitive athletes, and active adults seeking to recover and perform at their best. His approach blends evidence-based care with practical experience, and he takes pride in helping each therapist develop confidence, precision, and purpose in their practice. Ashley DeRamos, PT, DPT Ashley is a residency-trained physical therapist with more than seven years of experience treating orthopedic and pelvic health conditions. She is passionate about combining evidence-based practice with individualized care to help patients return to the activities they love. Ashley's clinical expertise includes orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, dry needling, shockwave therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and pelvic health. "We don't just hire PTs — we invest in clinicians who want to keep learning, improving, and elevating patient care." You'll know you're succeeding when:
  • Your patients graduate stronger and more confident — and refer others because of the care they received.
  • You feel supported, not stretched.
  • You see growth in your skills, confidence, and ability to impact both patients and peers.
